Jeff is a New Yorker who after a brief foray booking bands in the music business pivoted west to the Hawaiian Islands and began what is now a two-decade career in Montessori. 

In addition to a BA English and Master of Education, Jeff earned multiple diplomas with Association Montessori Internationale and the American Montessori Society at Primary, Adolescent, and Dementia and Aging. Jeff maintains ongoing professional development with certificate courses and Montessori conferences. 

Jeff has a strong history establishing and iterating Montessori environments as both a Guide and Director. He launched and led new Primary in Hawaii and Uruguay, captained nine years at Hawaii’s only Montessori adolescent program, and recently held directorship in the nascent space of formalized Montessori in assisted living and memory care. Additionally, Jeff has worked in Montessori community development and consults. 

An active lifestyle of yoga, running, and hiking (especially long-distance Thru Hikes when possible) are favorite pastimes. This compliments a strong meditation practice, frequent international travel, and volunteering on natural resource conservation and trail maintenance projects.
