At Mountain Shadows, we want to help you determine whether our school—and Montessori education—is the right fit for your child and your family. Our admissions process takes you on a journey to better understand our school and the Montessori method.

  • Explore our website, including the About Us and Programs pages
  • Call 303-530-5353 or complete the online contact form to schedule a tour (adults only preferred)
  • Parents are invited to schedule a classroom observation (adults only)
  • Submit the Admissions Application, application fee, and records release form (if your child has attended other schools or childcare centers)
  • The school will contact you to schedule a readiness visit with your child and their prospective classroom teacher (as needed based on conversation with Head of School):
    • Toddlers: Parents meet with the YCC teacher to asses readiness
    • Primary children: After school meeting with a Primary teacher
    • Elementary children: Shadow morning (attend class through lunch)
  • After the child’s visit, the school will notify you of your child’s admission status
  • Accept invitation for enrollment and reserve your child’s space or be placed in the waitpool
    • Return the signed enrollment contract
    • Return the partial or full payment of the tuition deposit
