Colleen Krueger

With 20-plus years of experience promoting the achievements of young people, teachers, coaches, administrators, and schools ranging from elementary through higher education, Colleen Krueger joined the Mountain Shadows community as its Director of Marketing and Communications in August 2014. From 2006 until her hire at Mountain Shadows, Colleen was the Director of Communications and Alumni Relations at Dawson School in Lafayette, Colo. There she developed, coordinated, and implemented the internal communications and external public relations outreach efforts, oversaw publications production, website content and (re)design, brand identity, and media relations. She also supported Dawson's advancement efforts through campaign support, community building, event marketing, and growing the school's alumni network. Prior to a one-year stint as Director of Communications and Promotions at USA Rugby in Boulder, she spent 13 years at the University of Colorado where she served as the associate director on the University's sports information staff. As the direct athletic media relations contact for all but two sports on the CU-Boulder campus, she facilitated the publicity of over 300 student-athletes and coaches, community relations, and promotion of fundraising events. She served on the CU-Boulder chancellor's NCAA Certification Committee for gender equity, was the editor of CU's football game day program and was a contributing writer for the University's alumni magazine. Her career in Division I college athletics kicked off in Boise, Idaho at the Big Sky Athletic Conference, promoting network of nine collegiate athletic programs located within six western-U.S. states. A New York native, Colleen and her husband John live in Boulder with their two children When they are not tailgating at CU sporting events, the family provides foster and respite care for some of the most wonderful children in Boulder County. <a href=
