That was the question answered by many Mountain Shadows children Friday when the school community celebrated the International Day of Peace.

Following the singing of We’ve Got The Whole World In Our Hands, Primary children shared that Peace is being nice to people and respect Mother Nature; caring; everyone getting along; quiet; respecting everyone; a big hug; and that everyone is safe.

One Primary child shared an insight from the Dalai Lama, “A learned person will become noble only when he or she has put into real practice what has been learned, instead of mere words.”

Elementary children read Peace poems, including what Peace smells like, tastes like, sounds like, or even looks like.

The annual raising of the peace flag, performed by Abby from the Primary class and Ben from elementary, concluded the annual ceremony.
