2014 SILENT JOURNEY AND DISCOVERY WITH BARBARA GORDON

Friday- Saturday, October 17 -18 (This is a two-day event. Single-day attendance is not available)

 

EVERY PARENT SHOULD ATTEND

The Silent Journey and Discovery allows parents, grandparents, and those most involved in your child’s education to learn how lessons and experiences at each level prepare your child for the next. Through a hands-on participatory experience, learn how Montessori is truly an education for life.

Silent Journey: Friday Evening, October 17, 5:30-9 p.m. (MPR)

Discovery: Saturday, October 18, 8:30 a.m.-12:30 p.m. (MPR)

 

THE EXPERIENCE

SILENT JOURNEY | Friday Evening, October 17, 5:30-9 p.m.

The Journey is a silent walk through all of our classroom communities. You will Journey from the Young Child’s Community (YCC) through Upper Elementary classrooms – through the lens of quiet observation – to really experience the classrooms and materials as your child experiences them.

 

DISCOVERY | Saturday Morning, October 18, 8:30 a.m.-12:30 p.m.

Step into your child’s shoes as you choose to work with materials. Ask for a lesson. Choose your work. Follow the thread through related materials from the YCC environment through Upper Elementary. Teachers from every level will be available to answer your questions and explain materials.
