MSMS launched the largest outreach efforts in the history of our school including promotion via television, email, and our new website. A public television production company was on campus last spring for a video shoot. Three different segments were produced and have been distributed.
The first segment, which features actor Martin Sheen as the narrator, has been distributed to 200 public television stations around the country. The segment will be available to air for a full year with an estimated viewership of 60-million households. We are thrilled that all Montessori schools in the United States will benefit from this exposure.
The second segment is a video that is now available on the front page the school’s website (www.mountainshadows.org) and will be used for spreading the word about our school through online marketing campaigns, social media, local school fairs, and the like. It is also available for viewing on YouTube. It is slightly different than the version with Martin Sheen that will air on Public Television.
The third segment is a 30 second commercial which aired in Boulder Valley cities during Peak (7:00 am-11:45 pm) and Prime (6:00 pm-11:45 pm) time on news networks (CNN, CNN HeadlineNews, MSNBC, CNBC, Fox News, Fox Business Network, TLC and Discovery) between November 18 and November 30.
In addition an email campaign sent to a narrowcasted audience of 1-million people in our local region was completed at the end of the month. The email included a brief introduction to Mountain Shadows, a link to the video our website, and an invitation to visit our school.
Our new website launched last month as well. Visitors will enjoy more up-to-date information on school life and current news on Montessori and the greater conversation about education reform. The underlying technology is more sophisticated and will support higher rankings in search engines.
