The Elementary II classroom has designed a labyrinth. They have researched styles, measured and calculated the surface area, and have created a prototype of their labyrinth design using masking tape on their classroom floor. They are studying the mythology behind labyrinths and what they are used for today. This picture shows a child opening the gate to peek at the Minotaur behind the “door.” The students are currently collecting materials, such as river rock, to build the labyrinth in outside of their classroom door.
